Canoeing across the Panama Canal

This is just a stupid little joke article about it.

Also, what do you think would happend if there were no locks? How much of one ocean would flow into the other?

I'm guessing the purpose of the locks is to get you over the mountain range.

You are correct about getting over the mountain. Although, due to currents, the Pacific is six inches higher than the Atlantic and if the canal were totally open at sea level the current would be about 6 mph.
